Hi, I’m Eilene.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience providing care to adults coping with both straightforward and complex mental health issues. I work from a strengths-based perspective, grounded in the belief that each of us possesses the skills and abilities needed to understand and untangle problematic thinking and behaviors.

My Approach

In my practice, I help clients confront a range of mental health challenges, including mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, as well as family conflict, parenting problems, relationship problems and grief. I also work with clients navigating stressful life transitions and life crises, such as divorce, new parenthood, the death of a loved one, job loss, or an unexpected traumatic experience. I use a psychodynamic approach that respects the relationship between therapist and patient, incorporates mindfulness practices, and supports the unique complexity of each individual.

  • I take a special interest in moments of life transition, whether that’s navigating the transition from college to young adulthood and independence, the challenges that present in midlife (marital, empty nest, career transition) or the psychological and emotional concerns that arise as we age, including caring for aging parents, health-related issues, conflicts with adult children, divorce.

    I often work with those seeking deeper self-understanding and healing, interested in exploring issues centered around life’s meaning and purpose.

  • My style is warm, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I see psychotherapy as a tool to help my clients move forward in their lives.

  • I consider therapy a collaborative process. Together, we will work to identify issues that are important to you and the goals you hope to achieve, whether that's lowering day-to-day anxiety, identifying a sense of purpose in your life, improving a relationship, processing grief, or building self-esteem. We can adjust your goals and adapt our treatment plan periodically to ensure we stay on track to meet those objectives and keep our sessions meaningful and relevant to you.

  • I work primarily via tele-health. Our first session is a chance for me to understand what brings you to therapy and establish preliminary objectives, which will become more clear and firm over time. It is also a chance for you to get to know me as your clinician. My hope is that you will leave our first session feeling comfortable and knowing you are being supported through this process.

Private Pay: If you would like to see me but I do not accept your insurance, my private pay rate is $130 for a 55 minute session.
